Accept the feeling, choose the action. Most people go through life allowing their feelings to determine their actions. Developing the right mindset is then the way to learn something new and strip out the most relevant information. Then you develop the beliefs that are most helpful for where you want to go or how you want to be. This belief-system is then your mindset. And I think a good mindset will reflect reality and will help you. In a growth mindset, however, students believe their abilities and intelligence can be developed with effort, learning and persistence. Their basic abilities are simply a starting point for their potential.
1.Believe you'll succeed - If you don’t define it, you will keep yourself subjected to confusion about your success and your failures. Find out what’s important for you in your personal life, career and health. For an hour of two, set aside your ego, and also your guilt, and think about what a perfect life would be to you.Our behavior is consistent with our beliefs. If you believe you’ll succeed, you take effective action that moves you closer to your goal.
You evaluate the available options in search of the most promising way forward. You persevere through setbacks because you’re certain you will surpass them and continue the journey towards success.
People react differently to similar situations based on their beliefs. When faced with adversity, one person understands it’s a normal part of the process while another person complains that “things never go right for me” and gives up. The first person cultivated a mental framework that leads to a productive response to the setback.
2.Overcome one obstacle at a time - You gain confidence by overcoming challenges, but when you fail to in time, after an existing relationship has formed, it may be that means readers will need to make themselves available to build that means it's important for readers interested in developing a new mindset to develop new habits. We don’t embrace incremental progress and growth. You want to fast track to the rewards of success. You can’t effectively handle ten obstacles at once. Our mind doesn’t know where to direct its attention. Our attention scatters and our productive energy dissipates.
You can overcome one challenge at a time though. We can methodically analyze each challenge from all angles. Then, you can develop strategies to attack the challenge in the way that’s most likely to succeed.
You commit to a plan and surge ahead. There’s a long journey ahead with many peaks and valleys. Yet, we don’t need to find solutions for problems until we face them.
3.Only compete with yourself - The most important part of competing against yourself is the ability to set your own values and metrics. You choose the goals that fit you best, and what you really want to compete on and what you don't. Either way, when you compete with yourself, you won't be lured into other people's competition and their values. While learning from others facilitates our growth, mentally competing with them produces detrimental consequences. When we measure ourselves against others, we look towards more successful people. This leads us to feel inadequate and doubt our ability.
4.Journal your progress - Celebrate wins. Contemplate mistakes. Create plans to magnify the win column and strategies to minimize the mistakes. As the late Jim Rohn once said, A life worth living is a life worth recording.Without proper reflection, the habits do not have any meaning. By applying your own personal meaning, you can accelerate your progress.
5.Start small - Aristotle once wrote, We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit. He was right. Doing something over and over makes it easy. If you want to sell better, start by creating conversations. Don't focus on the sale itself--focus on the habit of picking up the phone and talking to people.
Every big habit is supported by many smaller habits. Find the small habit and develop that first. It's easy to do many little things over and over again.
